Creative Writing Degrees: General Information
While virtually all colleges and universities offer English bachelor's and associate's degree programs, not all offer degree programs in General Creative Writing. While earning an English degree may be adequate, students with a passion for writing should find a dedicated Creative Writing degree program. In such a program, students are encouraged to explore different forms of literary expression and to read the works of great writers throughout history. Students will also receive constructive criticism and feedback from their fellow students and instructors. Graduates may pursue careers in writing, journalism, copy-editing, advertising and other fields that rely on writing skills.
