Construction Technologies: General Information
Construction technicians work on construction sites and in design studios. They work alongside building construction managers, architects and engineers. Common duties include data collection and analysis, construction inspection, operating CAD technologies, ordering and testing construction materials and more. Completion of at least an associate's degree in Construction Technology is encouraged. Depending upon the state of the economy, demand for construction technology professionals can vary widely. Currently, the economic outlook for the career is good, but economic slowdowns may influence this in the coming years.
