Metalworking and Welding Training: General Info

Metalworking and Welding degree programs can provide instruction in a number of career fields including sheet metal working, machinist, tool and die technology, welding and ironworking. Depending on your chosen course path you will learn how to fabricate metal, build metal parts needed for larger construction, design and make ornamental metalwork or weld. Training is provided in different types of metal and how they are used along with the use of tools needed to mold, shape, weld or work metal. Safety issues and industry standards are covered too.
