Degrees in Kinesiology, Exercise and Fitness Science
Kinesiology is the scientific study of human movement. Kinesiologists work in the field of exercise and fitness science to help athletes and others to exercise safely, efficiently and productively. Modern kinesiologists make use of advanced technologies, including motion capture software, physical modeling techniques and other computer software packages to help them collect and analyze data about the human body in motion. Kinesiologists may work for sports franchises, college athletic departments, as physical educators, rehabilitation specialists or personal trainers. Generally at least a bachelor's degree is required and many positions may require the research techniques and methodologies learned in a graduate degree program.
