Mathematics - Degree Options
A degree in mathematics provides instruction on the logical symbolic languages, known as math, and its applications to different areas. Studied systematically, mathematic courses build upon a solid foundation. A General mathematics course covers these basics. Other mathematic degrees increase in depth and tighten the students focus to a particular area of mathematics. Students can choose a course in algebra and number theory, geometry, econometrics or statistics. Those wishing to combine science with mathematics may want to take a course in biometry or biostatistics. Applied mathematics and similar courses, may also be part of a program of study such as engineering.
Bachelor Degrees: General Info
