Ambulance Care Attendant Degree: General Info
Ambulance care attendants are on the front lines of the American health care system. They are the first responders to crime scenes, 911 calls, traffic accidents and other health care emergencies. They also transport patients between hospitals, nursing homes and other care facilities. In order to pursue a career as an ambulance attendant, a high school diploma or GED is required. An associate degree in a health care related discipline is recommended as well. Ambulance attendants must be in top physical condition and must also hold a valid driver's license. Additional career certification may be required depending on local regulations.
